Xiaomi has confirmed that its Mi Mix 3 smartphone with full-screen display will arrive in October. Like with previous Mi Mix series phones, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will also be launched in China first. Interestingly, the upcoming Mi Mix 3 will house a completely all-display design on the front and will house a slider camera mechanism that was first seen on the Oppo Find X.
The company has already shared a real life image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. The image flaunts the slider mechanism and it appears that the rear camera is also included on the slider.
Although the image only shows the front side of the smartphone, there is nothing specific mentioned for the back panel. However, the design is said to resemble that of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, which is the updated version of Mi Mix 2 and was launched in March this year. One can also expect the ceramic back panel going by the history of the Mi Mix design.
In terms of specifications, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clubbed with 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage. It is still a debate if the smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo or Android P out of the box. As far as the price is concerned, the Mi Mix 2 was launched at Rs 35,999 in October last year. If the Mi Mix 3 comes to India, expect a higher price tag if not the same.
While Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its Redmi Note 6 series of smartphones in India, the company had recently launched its first smartphone under its new Poco sub-brand called Poco F1. The handset comes in three different variants — 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. All three are priced at Rs 20,999, Rs 23,999 and Rs 28,999 respectively.
