Facebook rolled out a feature that lets a user select the color that appears behind their text status. That means users will now see a color background instead of the normally-white background. So, Facebook is rolling out an extraordinary feature which enables users to select the color background in text-only status.

The feature was first spotted by TechCrunch and it was later made official by Facebook. Right now Facebook is rolling out the feature of colored status background exclusively to Android users and over the next few weeks, it will be viewable on iOS and the web.

Here’s How To Use Facebook’s New Color Status Feature

One of the Facebook’s spokesperson said to Bustle via email “We’re rolling out a change to help people make their text posts more visual. Starting today, people can update the background color of their text-only posts on Android.”

Facebook had confirmed that the rollout begins from the December 19. So, how to access this feature? Well, this feature had just started to roll out so users need to update their Facebook app and watch for the series of colored dots that will be available just below your status text.
